Finland’s first Montessori school operates in Herttoniemi, in the immediate vicinity of the metro station. The Finnish curriculum, the international Montessori method and accelerated language teaching enable versatile learning and the joy of experimenting and exploring. Priority is given to the child’s independent thinking, self-activity and respect for the environment.
The Montessori-school is Finland’s first primary school based entirely on Montessori pedagogy. It offers high-quality and stimulating teaching. In our opinion, the school that combines the Finnish primary school curriculum and international Montessori pedagogy is the best primary school in the world.
The teaching follows the Finnish Basic Education Act and national curriculum principles. Many of the school’s teachers have Montessori teacher qualifications, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to work with Montessori methods and tools.
